AKA- My dad, The Master Manifestor

Last year, my dad mentioned that he would like to go back to Washington and revisit the area where he was stationed in the US Army at Ft Lewiston. At the time, I casually asked, "Why don't you? I would go with you." Then, when he asked me a month ago if I was still interested in going,. I said, "Sure." I thought he was thinking about going next year when he turned 90. I was surprised when he said, " Great, how about this July?" I took a step back. I wanted to support him and his dream, so I said YES.
Last Sunday, I went to take my dad to lunch and to finalize our plans for our great river cruise on the Columbia and Snake Rivers in Oregon/Washington. When I arrived, I noticed a hat sitting on the chair. I don't remember my dad having this hat so I asked him, "Is that a new hat?" He said, "Yes, couldn't you see me sitting on the ship's deck overlooking the water with that hat on?" I smiled and said a resounding, "Yes!" I loved that my dad already had his vision for the trip and was taking action. Despite Oregon and Washington being known for rainy weather, my dad expected sunshine while sitting on the ship's deck with his new hat. He took critical steps that most people don't take in creating their dreams.
Create a clearly defined vision coming FROM the vision. He wasn't just envisioning himself on the ship's deck like a picture before him. He was feeling himself sitting in the chair with his hat on looking out over the water. He was IN the picture. He was there. I could feel his excitement and expectations of an incredible trip of a lifetime.
Decide to take ACTION. The courage to take action is a defining moment in your vision process. The moment we decide what we want and commit to take action, the moment the universe moves toward that vision. The universe reflects to you what you are taking action on. He didn't just book tickets for the cruise and then sit back and wait for it to come. He took it a step further and started planning and moving toward what he wanted that cruise to be like. He began preparing for the cruise and expecting everything to be in place.
We went to one of my favorite Chinese restaurants near my dad's place. I had to laugh when we were done with the meal and I opened my fortune cookie.

The universe was affirming our plans and I began to expect everything to be in place. At that moment, I decided I needed to get a new hat too.
